Human Serum and Plasma Samples
We offer high quality serum and plasma samples from a wide range of pathologic conditions and healthy donors.
- Oncology
- Benign tumors
- Hematology
- Infectious diseases
- Autoimmune diseases
Sample Collection
All human blood samples are collected under IRB approval. Serum and plasma samples are isolated in accordance with standard processing protocols.
Audubon Bio can procure a maximum of ~10-15 mL serum and plasma per donor per blood draw. Serum and plasma samples are usually processed from whole blood 1-2 hours after collection. Blood samples are collected in the designated blood collection tubes, containing either anticoagulants for plasma isolation or clot activation factors for serum retrieval.
Upon request, we can prospectively collect plasma and serum within a specific blood collection tube that fits your research needs.
Sample Formats and Storage
Following isolation, serum and plasma samples are stored at -20°C or -80°C, depending on the downstream analytical needs. Serum and plasma samples can be customized by aliquots’ size and storage conditions to suit the specific requirements of your projects.
Additional Laboratory Services
We can further support your projects by performing downstream analysis on serum and plasma samples according to your custom needs and protocols.
Shipping of Serum and Plasma Samples
We take extra care when organizing your shipments. Frozen samples are shipped on dry ice to avoid thawing and to ensure samples will be delivered at their best quality.
We are committed to organizing your collection and shipment in the most convenient manner and we take into account any specific requirements you might have.
