Audubon Bioscience is presenting a poster at the ISBER 2022 Annual Meeting

Audubon's poster at ISBER 2022 Annual Meeting

Houston, TX, - May 12, 2022 - Audubon Bioscience is presenting a poster at the ISBER 2022 Annual Meeting taking place in Atlanta, USA, from May 17-20, 2022.

The International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories (ISBER) is a global biobanking organization and leader in settling networking, education, standardization, and innovation in the fastly evolving world of biobanking. Its annual meeting is a key international biobanking conference that brings together all experts from the field. Therefore, it is a privilege to attend in person, hear all the great talks, engage in new collaborations, and be among the selected poster presenters at this year's ISBER Annual Meeting

As the need for genetically and ethnically diversified biospecimen collections for research purposes is increasing, a broad worldwide clinic network is becoming of great importance and one of our main goals. Operating in very diverse countries worldwide comes with different opportunities and challenges and offers us the chance to adjust and provide innovative solutions inspired by the various settings.

Our poster entitled "Overcoming Natural and Socio-Economic Challenges in Biobanking: Examples from USA and Nigeria" focuses on the challenges our teams face within two very distinct countries: the USA and Nigeria, and the action plans we've implemented to overcome them. We will present the challenges of hurricane Ida and the socio-economic challenges associated with specimen procurement in Nigeria.

"It is great to be allowed to present our work with the biobanking community," said Alexandra Giardina, Director of US Operations. "This work is evidence of the great international teamwork we have at Audubon. We are certain that the solutions we've identified and implemented can be applied in other crises."

If you are attending the ISBER 2022 Annual Meeting in person, check our poster #PG-03 during the poster session on May 18. You can also watch our poster presentation during the virtual meeting on June 14-15, 2022.
