Laboratory Technician

Goal:

The role will be responsible for making sure that all biosamples are marked, checked into the system correctly, and stored in a timely manner. 

Job Duties:

• Receive samples from collection sites
• Register samples into the database, record their volume, temperature condition, and Visual QC analysis (haemolysis, lysis, blood cells, any possible deviations from the regular sample condition)
• Conduct quality control (QC) of samples according to project requirements and internal standards
• Keep the storage of biosamples in a clean condition and convenient for working with samples
• Prepare batches of samples for shipments in coordination with the Operations Department
• Keep an actual list of available samples and register of transferred samples
• Conduct processing of samples – centrifugation, aliquoting (in prospect)

Requirements:

• Skills of blood samples handling 
• Strong attention to detail
• Understanding the general requirements for different types of samples
• Good general computer skills (Excel, MS Office)
• English language proficiency (intermediate and higher)
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• University degree in Medicine/Laboratory, Pharmacy, Microbiology, or related field
