Laboratory Technician
based in Kyiv, Ukraine
Goal:
The role will be responsible for making sure that all biosamples are marked, checked into the system correctly, and stored in a timely manner.
Job Duties:
- Receive samples from collection sites
- Register samples into the database, record their volume, temperature condition, and Visual QC analysis (haemolysis, lysis, blood cells, any possible deviations from the regular sample condition)
- Conduct quality control (QC) of samples according to project requirements and internal standards
- Keep the storage of biosamples in a clean condition and convenient for working with samples
- Prepare batches of samples for shipments in coordination with the Operations Department
- Keep an actual list of available samples and register of transferred samples
- Conduct processing of samples – centrifugation, aliquoting (in prospect)
Requirements:
- Skills of blood samples handling
- Strong attention to detail
- Understanding the general requirements for different types of samples
- Good general computer skills (Excel, MS Office)
- English language proficiency (intermediate and higher)
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- University degree in Medicine/Laboratory, Pharmacy, Microbiology, or related field
